ST. GREGORY MG WINS THE 2nd Season of ST. JEROME BIBLE QUIZ BEE

The Moderator’s Group of St. Jerome of Stridon hosted the Bible Quiz Bee in its 2nd Season at the seminary refectory. The contest was a battle between the Moderator’s Groups of the seminary. The Bible Quiz Bee started last September 18, 2018, during dinnertime. Sem. John Robert Bañal, a fourth year theologian-member of the hosting group, acted as the Quiz Bee Master with the help of the rest of the member. Immediately on the same date, the results of the Quiz Bee Elimination Round were announced in order to know who will proceed for the next round. Here are the results: St. Peter MG – 14, St. Ambrose MG – 13, St. Gregory MG – 13, St. Irenaeus MG – 13, St. Bernard MG – 12, St. Hilary MG – 10, St. Leo MG – 10, St. Albert MG – 10, St. Augustine MG – 6. The following moderator’s groups were eliminated: St. Hilary MG, St. Leo MG, St. Albert MG and St. Augustine MG. The second round of the Quiz Bee was held last September 19 with the following results: St. Peter MG – 13, St. Gregory MG – 12. The eliminated team was St. Ambrose MG. St. Bernard MG and St. Irenaeus MG got the same score of 11 points which led them to a tie breaker. St. Bernard MG triumphed and got it for the final round. The St. Jerome Bible Quiz Bee 2nd Season final round was held last September 20 with the three competing Moderator’s Groups. At the end, St. Gregory MG was declared as the new champion of the Bible Quiz Bee Season 2 with 13 points followed by St. Bernard MG as the first runner up with 12 points and St. Peter Chrysologos MG as the 2nd runner up with 10 points. Afterwards, the awarding ceremony was held. All the participating Moderator’s Groups were given tokens. The top 3 of the Bible quiz bee were given additional cash prizes during the Feast Day Eucharistic Celebration of St. Jerome at the Good Shepherd Chapel.
